The Draw Is His. The Follow-Up Is Ours.
Jesus said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.” (John 12:32). That is why we take worship into the park. But drawing is not the same as discipling. A festival that ends at the soundboard is only a concert with better theology.
After Jesus Festival, the real work looks ordinary: a name written down, a text on Monday, a meal, a church invitation, a Friday night on the street with someone who met Jesus on the grass.
A Simple Follow-Up Pattern
- Capture with dignity. Not a cattle call. A conversation. First name, how to reach them, what they asked prayer for.
- Pray within 24 hours. If you said you would pray, pray. Then tell them you did.
- Offer one next step. Coffee. Church. The next gathering. A Friday with Love on The World. Not twelve options. One.
- Stay human. Follow-up is love with a memory, not a funnel. If they say no, honour it.
- Keep a record so people don’t fall through. That is why we built KingdomBase — so names and prayer requests survive the adrenaline of the event.
The Harvest After the Lights
Most people who encounter Jesus in public still need a household, a table, and a church that will actually walk with them. Festival without follow-up is unfinished obedience. Follow-up without public witness is unfinished courage. We need both.
