Before You Open the Spreadsheet
Most Christian entrepreneurs pray about their business the way you check a smoke detector: only when something is burning. This plan is different. Seven days, one verse a day, one focused prayer over the company you lead, the freelance work you do, or the team you manage. It is built on the verse the whole Seek First: World ecosystem is named after: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33).
Print it, put it in TaskSimply as a daily task, or do it with your team. Ten minutes a day.
Day 1: Surrender the Company (Matthew 6:33)
Read it slowly. Then pray: "Lord, this business is Yours. Your Kingdom first, my plans second. Show me anything I have put ahead of You." Write down what comes to mind. That is your list for the week.
Day 2: Commit the Plans (Proverbs 16:3)
"Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established." Open your actual roadmap, quarter plan, or to-do list. Pray over it line by line. Ask Him to establish what should stand and remove what should not. Be willing to delete a line.
Day 3: Check the Foundation (Psalm 127:1)
"Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." Pray honestly: "Are You building this? Or am I?" Ask for the courage to hear the answer. Building the SIX33 brand from zero taught me that this question, asked early, saves years.
Day 4: Work as Worship (Colossians 3:23)
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." Pick the most ordinary task on your list today. Pray over it and do it as if Jesus were the client. Pray for excellence in the invoices, the code, the customer emails. Sloppy work in Jesus' name is not ministry.
Day 5: Firstfruits, Not Leftovers (Proverbs 3:9)
"Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce." Look at your numbers. Pray about what comes off the top before anything else: giving, generosity to staff, funding the harvest. This is the heartbeat of Lion's Den Alliance: Kingdom businesses built to send the Gospel, not just to survive.
Day 6: Integrity Under Pressure (Matthew 6:33 again, plus Proverbs 11:1)
"A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight." Pray about the shortcuts: the slightly inflated claim, the delayed payment to a supplier, the corner you are tempted to cut. Ask for a business so honest that your witness is never the cost of your growth. Read more in Matthew 6:33 at work.
Day 7: Pray for the People (Matthew 9:37–38)
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." Your customers, staff, suppliers, and competitors are your oikos at work. Write down names. Pray for their salvation and their good. Ask God to make your business a place where people meet Jesus, whether in a conversation, in how you treat them when things go wrong, or in the generosity they cannot explain.
Then Do It Again
Seven days will not fix a company. Seven days a week, for years, changes a leader, and changed leaders build different companies. Not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
